About SellerFeeTools
SellerFeeTools builds free calculators that show online sellers what they actually keep after platform fees.
Who runs this
SellerFeeTools is built and maintained by an independent developer and reseller who got tired of reconstructing marketplace fee stacks in a spreadsheet every time a rate changed. The site is not affiliated with Etsy, eBay, Amazon, Shopify or any other marketplace, and no platform pays for a favourable calculator result.
If a rate looks wrong, the correction address is on the contact page, and corrections are usually live the same day.
Why this exists
Marketplace fee pages are written to be understood by lawyers, not sellers. The result is that most sellers price their products using a rough markup and discover the real margin months later, when the bank account does not match the spreadsheet.
Every calculator on this site models the full fee stack for one platform, including the components sellers most often forget: fees charged on shipping, per-order fixed fees, and optional advertising rates.
How the numbers are built
Each calculator encodes the published fee schedule for its platform at the time of the last update. Rates are stored as constants in the page source, so the calculation is transparent and auditable: nothing is hidden behind a server call.
Where a platform's rate varies by category, region or seller tier, the calculator exposes the rate as an input so you can enter your own figure rather than trusting a default.
Accuracy and limits
Fee schedules change without much notice. The calculators are a modelling tool, not a billing statement. Before making a pricing decision, confirm the current rate on the platform's official fee page.
If you find a rate that is out of date, the contact page is the fastest way to get it corrected.
How the site is funded
The calculators are free and require no account. The site is funded by affiliate commissions: when a reader follows a link to a paid tool or platform and signs up, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to the reader.
Affiliate relationships do not influence which platforms are covered or how the fee maths is presented. A platform that charges more is shown charging more.
